Confirmations and reminders

Booking emails come from your business, not from Upscale. The sender name your client sees is yours.

Confirmations

A client who books with an email address gets a confirmation straight away. It shows the date and time in your time zone rather than theirs or ours, lists every service booked with who is performing it, and shows the total.

Booking without an email address is fine. Walk ins and phone bookings still work, and nothing errors.

Add to calendar

Every confirmation carries a Google link, an Outlook link, and an attached appointment.ics file. Opening the attachment on a phone puts the visit in the client's own calendar.

The attachment is the same event each time rather than a new one. Reschedule a visit and the client's calendar updates the existing entry instead of leaving them with two. Cancel it and the entry is removed. This is the part most systems get wrong, and the part clients notice.

Reminders

A reminder goes out before the visit, at the offset you choose. Exactly one, no matter how many times the sweep runs.

The wording matches reality. A reminder arriving three hours before does not say "tomorrow".

Cancelled visits never get a reminder.

Turning them off

Confirmations can be switched off in settings. Bookings still work, no email is sent.

What was sent

Open any appointment and its notification history shows what went out and when. Useful when a client says they never heard from you.
